Our story begins in Verona in 1994, with a small family project, today our solutions are installed in the world’s top attractions. 

Fotosmile offers advanced photo and video technology products and services in the field of entertainment and museums, with a global presence and a local approach. For over 30 years Fotosmile has been the reliable partner of the biggest amusement parks in more than 15 countries.

1994 FOTOSMILE WAS FOUNDED:

Our company was founded with a bold vision: to revolutionise the way visitors to amusement parks relive their exciting moments.

1996 INSTALLATION OF THE FIRST ANALOGUE PHOTO ON RIDE SYSTEM:

After rigorous testing and improvements, our on-ride photo system was installed for the first time in an amusement park’s attraction. The positive response from visitors confirmed the potential of our innovative concept.

1998 Engineering and production of the first automatic theme photobooth:

This represented the first fully automatic system created by Fotosmile. The theming of each cabin, still entirely produced in Italy and meticulously curated, sets us apart in the market, allowing each guest to immerse themselves in a magical world of adventure and creativity. Themed cabins remain one of our best sellers.

2000 TRANSITION FROM ANALOG TO DIGITAL VIDEO PROCESS:

With the advent of digital photography, we migrated from analogue to digital systems, offering visitors more flexibility in choosing and customising their photos. This transition represented a significant milestone in our journey.

2004 FOTOSMILE EXPANDS IN EUROPE:

Our on-ride photo system became a standard feature in many amusement parks, consolidating our position in the market. We expanded internationally collaborating with parks, museums, and tourist attractions to bring our technology to a global audience.

2007 ENGINEERING OF AUTOMATED SALES SYSTEMS:

The first automatic sales system represented a real point of innovation, making it possible to exempt staff from the point of sale. The aim was to keep the same standard of product and an attractive experience for the guest. Thus, our intuitive and easy-to-use system still allows millions of people to get printed and digital photos in complete autonomy.

2010 First installation of on-ride video technology:

When capturing photos was no longer enough, we installed the first on-ride video system, reshaping the way guests enjoy the on-ride experience and create memories

2011 Moving into the new Fotosmile offices:

An exciting new chapter for the entire Fotosmile team as it grows and renovates, moving its offices to state-of-the-art, solar-powered premises that perfectly reflects the nature and philosophy of Fotosmile.

2012 The foundation of Fotosmile UK with head office in London:

The development of Fotosmile's business leads to the foundation of Fotosmile Ltd. for the management of the overseas affairs.

2015 The foundation of Fotosmile USA with head office in Las Vegas:

The opening of the Las Vegas office is recognised as a milestone in Fotosmile's journey. Fotosmile consolidates its presence in the territory with a direct branch office.

2016 Development of Fotosmile's app:

Reacting to the growing demand for digital content, we began developing our proprietary mobile app to provide visitors an instant access to photos and videos of their attractions. This innovation improved the visitor experience even further.

2020 New generation of on-ride video technology and its patenting:

The third generation of the Fotosmile branded on-ride video system is a real innovation in the market, allowing not only cameras, but also small screens to be installed on board to entertain guests. A cutting-edge and patented technology.

2021 New software platform for photo solutions:

When a pandemic kept the world at a standstill, our technical team kept working, to deliver the following year's release of the brand-new modular software platform adaptable to any use, from studio photography to on-ride. A system based on almost 30 years of experience, simple to use and reliable, which has been highly appreciated by all our partners since the first installation.

2022 Meet&Greet Mirror first installation:

Our research in the field of automated technology never stops. Thus was born our Mirror with its unique simple design, which makes the guest experience engaging with photos and videos
